About Yab Yum Resort Goa:

Yab Yum is situated in northern Goa at the edge of the tranquil coastal fishing village of Ashwem, which nestles half way between the villages of Morjim to the north and Mandrem to the south.
Hidden away in a peaceful and quiet setting on white sands amongst 8000 square metres of cool and shaded lush coconut and banana grove, Yab Yum sits directly behind the natural sand dunes of Ashwem beach. From here you can relax and watch the local fishermen bring in their daily catch from the Arabian Sea to a backdrop of beautiful sunsets.

Facilities at Yab Yum Resort Goa:

»Yoga:
They have a newly constructed and fully equipped Yoga shala. Iyenga yoga is taught by resident and international visiting teachers. For more information see the Yoga & Treatments page.

Pools:
To cool off they have a dipping pool by the beach gate, parents please make sure your kids are supervised!

»Kids:
Being parents they are fully aware of how quickly kids get bored whilst parents are relaxing, because of this they have set up a full size teepee decorated with coloured flags and full of toys for them to play with (the kids not the parents!). They also have a shallow paddling pool for children to enjoy – please note that they do ask that parents supervise their children whilst using the pools! Child-minding can be arranged by the in-house governess.

»Drinks:
As well as breakfast they also provide a mini-bar service where drinks, fresh fruit juices and lassis can be ordered and delivered either to your room, the beach or wherever you may be relaxing within the resort. They also run a light menu from 12noon to 8pm consisting of freshly made snacks and salads.

»Ayurvedic Treatments:
The treatment lodge allows us to offer traditional massage and therapies.
At Yab Yum they offer the clients various types of massage ranging from deep-tissue to reiki.
Deep Tissue Massage: Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. The massage therapist uses slower strokes or friction techniques across the grain of the muscle.

»Reflexology:
Although reflexology is sometimes called foot massage it is more than simple foot massage. Reflexology involves applying pressure to certain points on the feet that correspond to organs and systems in the body. Reflexology is very relaxing, especially for people who are on their feet all day or simply have tired, achy feet.

»Aromatherapy:
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils distilled from plants, flowers, fruits and trees to treat various physical and emotional conditions. An aromatherapy massage can be used to revitalize or relax, to soothe nerves, ease tension and bring relief to symptoms such as aching muscles, headaches, depression, anxiety and skin conditions. It is also used in the treatment of respiratory, digestive, circulatory and urinary problems.

»Indian Head Massage:
An invigorating yet relaxing treatment of the face, head, neck, shoulders, upper arms and scalp to relieve tension and inspire well-being. Traditional coconut or sesame oil is used.

»Reiki:
An ancient healing art used to restore harmony and well-being to the body and mind through the laying on of hands. Reiki is a deeply relaxing, rejuvenating treatment.

»Ayur-Yogic Massage:
Based on ayurveda and yoga this style of massage uses various stretching techniques and deep tissue manipulation to warm up the muscular system, balance the body's essential elements and improve the blood flow. Cold pressed sesame oil and calamus powders are massaged into the skin, this helps detoxify, stimulate and soften. At the end of the session one feels a sense of deep relaxation, rejuvenation and an increase in vital energy levels.
